Sharon Bordean has been a charter member at Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf since September 1986, following twenty-four years minister with her husband Rev. Eugene Bordean, Jr. who is with Lord in 1999.
She has been involved with DEAFinitely HIM Ministries since December 1999. She has a burden for Deaf pastor’s wives, missionaries, and leaders. Sharon helped to establish Deaf Baptist Ladies Retreat in 1987 and continues to be on the Board. She travels and speaks at various churches and enjoys encouraging ladies to keep loving and serving the Lord.
Sharon went to Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC in 1971-1972. She graduated with an Associate in Applied Science in Sign Language Interpreting from Columbus State Community College in 1999. In 2015, she retired from Columbus City Schools Hearing Impaired Program (CHIP) as an Educational Interpreter. She is also employed at SorensonVRS as a VideoRelay Interpreter.
She has one son, Jonathan Bordean, two daughters, Julie Loedding and Janelle Barnes, and eight grandchildren. God has given her children wonderful spouses. Her hobbies include photography, traveling, & working jig saw puzzles.
